The answer

Upon a person's death, their wealth is immediately transferred to their heirs. No one is permitted to withhold or conceal any part of the inheritance from its rightful owner. Allah has ordained the wife's share of the inheritance: "And for them (wives) is one fourth of what you leave if you have no child; but if you have a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave." This eighth is from all that the husband left behind. It is obligatory to deliver the stepmother's right to the land, which is the eighth. Seizing land unjustly is among the grave sins.
