How sound is it to be named "Kashif Alamgir" if the name "Kashif" means a man of spiritual vision, and "Alamgir" means lord or master of the world?

A father must choose a good name for his children and change any disliked or ugly name, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to change ugly names to good ones. Regarding the name "Aalamgeer," if its meaning is good and acceptable in the language of its people, such as "master" or "chief," then there is no harm in naming with it. However, if its meaning is corrupt, such as "master of the world" or "lord of the world," then it is not permissible to name with it. There is no impediment to naming with "Muhammad Kashif" or "Kashif," and it is not necessary for its meaning to be spiritual vision. One should not follow obsessions and suspicions in this matter; the basic principle for names is permissibility unless a specific legal impediment is clearly demonstrated.
