Did I err in my duty to my deceased fetus, and what are the rulings regarding naming, ‘aqiqah, supplication, intercession, and accountability in such a case?

It is prescribed to be patient and to ease the burden of the calamity upon losing a miscarried fetus, and washing, shrouding, and praying over a miscarried fetus is not prescribed according to many scholars. This is because the miscarried fetus is upon fitra (primordial nature). The Malikis and those who agree with them hold that a newborn who did not cry out upon birth is neither washed, perfumed, prayed over, named, nor does it inherit or bequeath. As for the intercession of the miscarried fetus for its parents, it has been mentioned in hadiths that it intercedes for its parents if they seek their reward from Allah Almighty. As for matters of the unseen, it is impermissible to speak about them without a clear textual proof from the Lawgiver.
