Puberty and Responsibility

• When does the guardianship of marriage transfer from the father who refuses to marry off his daughter to her underage brother?

• Is it permissible to wait until money is available to return stolen goods, and is it possible to collect money from one's allowance to return it without the family's knowledge, and is the embarrassment of asking for forgiveness considered fearing people more than fearing Allah?

• Is an adolescent of discerning age, not yet an adult, held accountable for actions such as murder or theft, and are legal penalties (hudud) imposed upon him?

• Is the failure to pay for items purchased from the school cafeteria in another country more than ten years ago considered a debt, and what should one do about it?

• Is one absolved of responsibility by returning stolen money discreetly, despite the fear that its owner may not become aware of it, and does the ruling differ if the theft occurred before puberty, knowing that charitable donations have been given with the intention for the owners of the money?

• Is it permissible for a husband to punish his wife and children by withholding their financial support, given that they have committed no sin, and the reason for this is his second wife, taking into consideration the husband's comfortable financial situation and the psychological impact of the father's treatment on the children?

• Is one absolved of responsibility after returning stolen goods and donating their value on behalf of their owners, while concealing one's identity out of shame?

• When does a child's custody end? Is it permissible for an infant to stay with its mother after she remarries? Is the mother obligated to financially support her children and buy a house for them after custody ends? And who is responsible for the financial support of a daughter after her custody ends until she gets married?
