The answer

The Shari'ah has forbidden aiding in the unlawful, because the one who aids is a participant in its propagation, based on the verse: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression" [Quran 5:2], and on the hadiths that curse those who engage in unlawful acts and those who aid in them, such as usury and alcohol. It is forbidden to sell something when the seller knows that the buyer will use it to commit a sin, such as selling musk to someone who will perfume his idol with it, or selling an animal to a warrior who will kill it without proper slaughter. Allowing a person to enter with his mistress or permitting immodestly dressed women to enter is considered aiding in the unlawful. As for photography, it is a matter of scholarly disagreement and is considered a light matter.
