Is the work of the drummer, the piper, and the dancer in a folk arts troupe permissible or forbidden?

The earnings of those who practice musical instruments and music are ill-gotten and forbidden, based on the following evidence:

1. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will be among my Ummah people who will legalize illegal sexual intercourse, silk, alcoholic drinks, and musical instruments."

2. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has forbidden for me—or forbidden—wine, gambling, the kubah, and every intoxicant is forbidden." The kubah is the drum.

3. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Two voices are accursed: the sound of a wind instrument at a time of blessing, and the sound of wailing at a time of calamity."
