The question

What is the ruling on earning money from YouTube by uploading educational or other videos, if the accompanying advertisements (which YouTube determines based on the viewer's interests) largely (about 85%) contain images of unveiled women or music, and is the money earned unlawful or not, and does the channel owner bear the sin of every person who sees the forbidden advertisement? And if YouTube money is unlawful, is it permissible to sell the channel for money, knowing that the buyer will continue to display the advertisements?

The answer

The basic principle is that earning money from uploading permissible and beneficial video clips is lawful. The presence of accompanying advertisements that contain violations, such as music and images of unveiled women, does not preclude the permissibility of this earning. The owner of the clips does not bear the sin of those who watch these forbidden things, as long as he did not directly participate in them or assist in them in a forbidden manner.
