What is the ruling on the supplication: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from an evil neighbor, and from wealth that becomes a torment for me, and from a child who becomes a lord and a bane for me, and from a wife who ages me before old age, and from a cunning intimate friend, whose eyes see me, and whose heart hates me, and who watches me; if he sees good, he conceals it, and if he sees evil, he publicizes it; if he sees a good deed, he buries it, and if he sees a bad deed, he broadcasts it"? And should it be recited daily?

This supplication was narrated by Al-Tabarani with a chain of transmission that includes Muhammad ibn Ajlan, who is truthful but whose narrations from Abu Hurairah became mixed up. Al-Albani considers its chain of transmission good. Even if it is assumed to be weak, its weakness is not severe, and leniency is shown towards such chains in the context of supplications, especially since its meanings are sound. There is no harm in supplicating with it at any time.
