The answer

The sorrow you are experiencing is good for you, as it leads to your repentance and return to Allah. Its continuation may be for Allah to erase your sins and elevate your rank, for no Muslim is afflicted by worry or sorrow except that Allah expiates his sins thereby. Have a good opinion of your Lord, for repentance nullifies what came before it, and one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin. Continue in your obedience, worship, and remembrance of Allah, and adhere to the supplication of Dhun-Nun (Jonah): "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I was of the wrongdoers." For no distressed person supplicated with it except that Allah relieved his distress. You can consult trustworthy psychiatrists or the consultation section on the website.
