The answer

Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever plays backgammon (nardashir) is as if he dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig." And Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever plays dice (nard) has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger."
