How can I attain a reward like that of the martyrs and achieve the highest Paradise?
"Attaining the reward of a martyr is a great status. Among the reasons for this is for a Muslim to remain in their country during an epidemic, patiently enduring and seeking reward from Allah, knowing that nothing will befall them except what Allah has decreed. By doing so, they attain the reward of a martyr, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no one who, when a plague befalls them, remains in their country patiently enduring and seeking reward from Allah, knowing that nothing will befall them except what Allah has decreed, but that they will have a reward like that of a martyr.'
Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned more than twenty characteristics through which one can attain the reward of martyrdom."
