Is someone who died in a car accident in Ghana, where he had gone for work, considered a martyr, and does the intercession for seventy of his relatives apply to him?

Whoever dies in a car accident is hoped to be a martyr, but martyrdom cannot be definitively asserted for him due to the absence of a text that precisely defines a martyr. Some scholars have likened him to the one who dies under a collapsed structure due to the similarity of his death in severity and pain as mentioned in the texts.
