Is a man who died in a car explosion while driving on the road considered a martyr?

Malik, Abu Dawud, Al-Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah narrated from Jabir ibn Atik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the martyrs are seven, apart from those killed in the path of Allah: the one who dies of plague, the drowned, the one who dies of pleurisy, the one who dies of a stomach disease, the one who dies by burning, the one who dies under a collapsing building, and the woman who dies during childbirth. More than twenty categories of martyrs have been enumerated, such as those bitten by venomous creatures, those who choke, and those mauled by wild beasts.

The scholars have stated: These deaths are a form of martyrdom due to Allah's grace, because of their severity and pain, and they serve as an expiation for sins and an increase in rewards, elevating them to the ranks of martyrs.

Martyrs are of two types: the martyr of this world and the Hereafter, who is one killed in war against the disbelievers, advancing and not retreating, and doing so sincerely. And the martyr of the Hereafter, who are those mentioned previously; they are granted a reward similar to that of martyrs but are not subject to their rulings in this world.

A Muslim who dies as a result of a car collision or similar severe and painful deaths is hoped to be among the martyrs.

To attain the reward of martyrdom, there are conditions, among them patience and seeking reward from Allah, and the absence of impediments such as misappropriation of war booty (ghulul), debt, usurping people's rights, and also dying due to an act of disobedience.
