Are all imported spray perfumes alcoholic? Is ethanol the only prohibited alcohol? Is it obligatory to wash clothes that have come into contact with deodorant containing alcohol?

As for the first two questions and the question about non-ethanol alcohol and whether it is intoxicating, these should be referred to specialists, due to the differing opinions.

However, regarding clothes that have been affected by deodorant containing alcohol or have been washed with it, the matter is simple and does not require rewashing. This is because alcohol is a volatile liquid that does not persist. Even if a trace remains, it is purified if washed with a small amount of water, as long as the color, taste, or smell of the water has not changed. This is the view of the Maliki school, and it has been chosen by a group of verified scholars. This is indicated by the fact that water does not become impure except by changing, which is the view of the people of Medina and the majority of the early Muslims (Salaf). This is also what Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim chose, and it is indicated by the Sunnah (definition) of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him: that if water meets an impurity, it does not become impure if it does not change the water, and it remains in its original pure state.
