The answer

The questioner must repent for wailing and raising her voice at the time of her brother's death, and she must submit her affair to Allah. It is permissible for women to visit graves with legitimate Islamic guidelines. Reading at graves after burial is disliked. It is permissible to recite the Qur'an and dedicate its reward to the deceased, just as the reward for charity and supplication reaches him. As for the place of the waiting period () for a woman whose husband has died, it is the house she inhabited at the time of her husband's death. If it was rented, she is not obliged to live in it unless the husband had paid the rent in advance. It is permissible for the woman in iddah to visit her husband's family, but she must not spend the night except in her own dwelling.
