What is the ruling on the Imam saying to the congregants after the funeral prayer: "What do you bear witness to concerning him?" and their replying: "He is among the people of goodness"?

What the aforementioned Imam said is among the common innovations (bid'ah). Sheikh Al-Albani mentioned this statement as one of the well-known innovations, which is the saying of some people in a loud voice after the funeral prayer: "What do you bear witness concerning him?" And the attendees reply: "He was among the righteous," or similar. As for people praising the deceased with good, because he was among the righteous, in a context other than this situation, that is evidence of his happiness. For in the hadith (definition): "The testimony of the believing people are Allah's witnesses on Earth."
