The answer

It is permissible to bury the deceased in a place other than the one recommended if there is fear of decomposition. There is no harm in not waiting for an absent person; in fact, it is preferable if decomposition is feared, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Hasten with the funeral." Initiating the burial is recommended after verifying death. It is permissible to wait for some relatives as long as the wait is not prolonged and there is no fear of the body decomposing.
