Can a woman who fasts much, prays much, and gives much in charity be in the Hellfire merely for harming her neighbors, even though charity extinguishes the Lord's wrath?

The Hadith (definition) that mentions a woman who prays, fasts, and gives much charity, but harms her neighbors with her tongue, whereupon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "She is in the Fire," and a woman who performs little fasting, charity, and prayer, but does not harm her neighbors, about whom he said: "She is in Paradise," is an authentic Hadith narrated by Ahmad and others. This Hadith indicates that harming neighbors is a major sin, and that persistence in it may lead its perpetrator to the Fire, even if she performs supererogatory acts of worship. The essence of religion revolves around fulfilling obligations and avoiding sins, and abstaining from prohibitions is more important than increasing supererogatory acts.
