The answer

Whoever loses a loved one from among the people of this world and praises Allah and seeks recompense from Him, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise called the House of Praise (Bayt al-Hamd). The person who dies in a traffic accident is considered a martyr—God willing—if the conditions of martyrdom are met and its impediments are absent. Their death resembles the death of one who dies by being crushed (under a collapsed structure) or by drowning. However, we do not declare a specific individual a martyr. As for one who dies while seeking knowledge, weak hadiths have been reported concerning their virtue, likening them to a martyr or bringing them close to the rank of prophethood.
