Is what is circulated on some pages, stating that in Paradise, if a woman desired to be a male, it would be granted to her, and if a man desired to carry a child like a woman, it would be granted to him, a correct statement or one that contradicts creed and human nature?
The people of Paradise will have in it whatever they desire, but their aspirations and desires differ from those of the people of this world after they have been purified and refined. Everything that sound human nature would reject as ugly and immoral, such as pregnancy and childbirth for a man or gender change, the people of Paradise are far removed from it. The book mentioned in the question does not describe Paradise based on the texts of revelation, but is merely a wish and a dream. As for Ibn al-Qayyim's statement in "Hadi al-Arwah," it concerns the issue of whether children will be born to the people of Paradise, not that a man will conceive and give birth. He cited a indicating that if a believer desires a child in Paradise, its conception, birth, and age will occur in a single hour, and this is a matter of scholarly disagreement.
