Is the discourse concerning the procreation of the people of Paradise, and the evidence cited from Surat Az-Zumar and the Hadith, "If a believer in Paradise desires offspring, his conception, birth, and growth to his desired age will occur in a single hour," authentic or weak and not transmitted from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

Paradise contains everlasting, perpetual delights, "which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived," and therein is "whatever the souls desire and the eyes delight in," and "for them is whatever they wish therein, and with Us is still more." So, if the inhabitants of Paradise desire offspring, they will obtain it, but there is no desire for offspring [in Paradise]. Scholars have differed on this, but it appears there is no legal or rational impediment to offspring for one who desires it, just as one might desire roasted birds.
