What is the ruling on one who does not return the greeting of peace to a group of young men whose morals are bad (their clothing in the American style and their hair in the French style), on the pretext that he is elevating himself above suspicion?

Youth must be advised and invited to Allah, and urged to adhere to their religion and its noble morals. Imitating disbelievers and emulating them is dangerous, for in the Hadith: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them," and "He is not of us who imitates others. Do not imitate the Jews or the Christians."
