Is it permissible to tattoo to hide foot cracks?

Tattooing is forbidden, and its perpetrator is cursed, according to the hadith: "May Allah curse the woman who adds hair extensions and the one who has them added, and the woman who tattoos and the one who has it done." It is permissible if it is for removing a defect or for medical treatment, and no permissible alternative is found, based on the saying: "except for an illness." However, it is not permissible to use tattooing to conceal cracks in the feet, because this is for beautification and is not considered an illness. Even if it were an illness, this would not be its treatment nor the only means for it; rather, it should be treated with other permissible methods.
