Is the prayer of a person with a tattoo on their hand accepted, given their desire to remove it, and the difficulty and cost of its removal?

Tattooing is unlawful in Islamic law and its perpetrator is cursed. It involves piercing the body with a needle and filling the spot with kohl or similar substances. Whoever has been tattooed must remove it immediately and repent to Allah. However, if she fears severe harm or is unable to remove it, she should suffice with repentance, and there is no sin upon her, and her prayers are valid. The tattoo must be removed if no damage is feared.
