Do you advise me to forgive my ex-husband, and will my forgiveness of him waive my right to hold him accountable, or will it not?
Patience and remembering His saying, the Almighty: (And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you) is important. One should forget the past and strive to look forward to the future, for what befalls a person is a decreed destiny. A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah, and he should be keen on what benefits him and seek Allah's help. Divorce is permissible but disliked unless there is a need for it, and it is not always considered an injustice to the woman. supplicating against the divorced husband has no legal justification. One should not search for the reason for divorce; rather, it is better to forget this man and ask Allah to grant you a righteous husband. It is permissible for a Muslim woman to seek righteous husbands and offer herself to them within the limits of lawful modesty.
