The answer

The claim of fearing God without praying is false, because true fear leads to obedience. As for her statement, "Why does He not make us pray?" if she means inability, then God has enabled us to pray and has not prevented us from doing so. If she means compulsion, then God willed to test us with the choice between obedience and disobedience. As for why He did not give us a choice in coming to this world, the answer is that He is "The Doer of what He intends" (Qur'an 11:107) and "He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned" (Qur'an 21:23). These questions are evidence of the corruption of her heart, so advise her gently and wisely to acknowledge God's actions. If she does not heed the advice, then leave her, for whoever God wills to lead astray, no counsel will benefit him.
