What is the ruling of the Sharia on a wife who disobeys her husband and listens to her family's incitement against him, despite his attempts to mend the relationship?
It is not permissible for the wife's family to corrupt her against her husband, nor is it permissible for the wife to obey her family in this matter. Rather, she must obey her husband and not leave without his permission unless it is absolutely necessary.
The wife's family should be advised to fear Allah Almighty and not to corrupt the wife against her husband. Efforts should also be made to mend the relationship between the husband and his wife's family.
If it is proven that the wife left her family's home without her husband's permission, then she is disobedient (nashiz), and the husband must follow what the has commanded for dealing with disobedience.
