What is the reason for the rank of truthfulness being named "Al-Siddiqiyyah," and how did this name originate, and can a Muslim attain it?

Siddiqiyyah (Truthfulness) is a great status, second only to Prophethood. It signifies an abundance of truthfulness in words, actions, and conduct. The first to be called by this title was Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, for his affirmation of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding the news of the Isra' (Night Journey). This title was also used in the Quran for Maryam bint 'Imran, peace be upon her. This status is attained through complete sincerity and submission to Allah, along with truthfulness in all sayings, deeds, and states. "Al-Siddiq" (the most truthful) is a stronger term than "Al-Sadooq" (very truthful), and "Al-Sadooq" is stronger than "Al-Sadiq" (truthful).
