It is permissible to transport the deceased for a legitimate purpose, provided there is no fear of decomposition. If the father is obligated to transport his son or is unable to cover the transportation costs, it is permissible to give him from Zakat because preparing and transporting the deceased is obligatory for his father if he is unable to afford the expenses, and this is what is given from Zakat. The shroud and the expenses of preparation are obligatory upon whoever is responsible for the deceased's upkeep due to kinship, such as the father or the son.
