Is it permissible to commit fornication for a person who wants to protect himself from engaging in the act of the people of Lut (peace be upon him)?

The destructive consequences of sodomy are beyond enumeration; the passive partner is corrupted, and there is little hope for their reform, as their modesty is lost. However, the door of repentance is open for anyone who repents sincerely, performs good deeds, and replaces their bad deeds with good ones. Allah forgives all sins, and "the one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin." As for naming this abomination "liwaṭ" (sodomy) and its perpetrator "lūṭī" (sodomite), it is an attribution to the people of Lot, not to the Prophet Lot, peace be upon him. The scholar Bakr Abu Zayd upheld the validity of this nomenclature, though he later noted that zeal for the Prophet of Allah Lot takes precedence, and he questioned: How can we attribute this heinous act to the Prophet of Allah Lot, peace be upon him? Bearing in mind that the terms "liwaṭ" and "lūṭī" are not mentioned in the Quran or Sunnah; rather, the Quran calls it "al-fāḥishah" (the abomination), and the Prophet, peace be upon him, called it "the deed of the people of Lot."
