Is it permissible to apply unnoticeable powder for improvement, and are kohl and henna considered forbidden adornment?

Among the requirements of the legal hijab is for a woman to cover her face in front of non-mahram men. As for the use of dyes and powders for beautification, some scholars have prohibited it for unmarried women, but permitted it for married women with their husband's permission. Regarding dyeing with henna, the Malikis permitted it for unmarried women and recommended it for married women. The Hanafis permitted it for women absolutely. However, the Shafi'is disliked it for unmarried women if they did not intend to enter ihram, fearing temptation. The most preponderant opinion is its absolute permissibility, based on the hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), which made dyeing with henna a distinguishing mark of women.
