What is the ruling on a veiled woman who does not wear a niqab lightening and plucking her eyebrows for the purpose of adornment for her husband? And can she wear the most beautiful of hijabs if it does not cause fitna? And does the hadith: "Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty" include a woman's beautification with her clothes or not? And is a woman rewarded for beautifying herself with her clothes to maintain a good image of a Muslim woman in front of non-Muslims?

Scholars differed regarding the permissibility of a woman uncovering her face in front of non-mahram men, and concerning plucking eyebrows for adornment for the husband. The preponderant opinion is that it is not permissible. As for the hijab, it should cover the woman and conceal her adornment from non-mahram men. However, beautification is required for the husband. The Prophet's ﷺ saying: "Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty" is general for both men and women. Women are permitted means of beautification that are not permitted for men, but their beautification must be away from non-mahram men to avoid temptation. What stirs the desire for lust, such as beautiful clothing, conspicuous jewelry, luxurious adornment, and mixing with men, is included with perfume in the prohibition.
