Is it permissible for a man to intend to prevent pregnancy by natural or medical means of birth control, along with his intention to cease progeny?

It is not permissible to terminate a pregnancy definitively except when there is a certain or highly probable harm to the mother that cannot be averted except by this. As for temporary contraceptives, they are permissible to achieve a benefit, such as the mother's health, and there is no objection to using them with the intention of sustainability, as they do not definitively prevent pregnancy, as indicated by the prophetic hadiths. Nevertheless, Islamic law encourages a large progeny.
