Is it permissible for a married couple to use contraceptives for five or six months with the intention of performing the Hajj obligation without the burden of pregnancy or the presence of a child?

It is permissible for both men and women to use temporary contraceptives for approximately six months with the aim of being able to perform Hajj, because delaying procreation for a perceived benefit by the spouses is permissible. The resolution of the Islamic Fiqh Academy stipulated the permissibility of temporary birth control to space out pregnancies or to stop them for a certain period if there is a legitimate need, with the agreement of both spouses, provided that no harm results from it, that the method is lawful, and that it does not involve aggression against an existing pregnancy.
