What is the punishment for adultery (zina), and how can one repent from it after having relations with a married woman, then discovering that she lied about her marital status and children, given that her money was disposed of after the truth was discovered?

Fornication is one of the most heinous sins. Its perpetrator is tormented in the Barzakh (interim period between death and resurrection) in a fiery oven, and in this world, Allah has legislated for him the most severe forms of execution. However, such is the vastness of Allah's mercy that He accepts the repentance of the sinner, no matter how great their sin, and He rejoices in His servant's repentance, loves those who repent, and transforms their evil deeds into good deeds. Repentance requires abandoning the sin, regretting it, resolving not to return to it, and restoring rights to their rightful owners. One should conceal the sin, increase in righteous deeds, avoid the causes of sin such as being alone with women or looking at what is forbidden, hasten to marry if unmarried, and associate with the righteous.
