Does the meaning of the noble verse, "And Allah has favored some of you over others in provision," imply that a student's effort will not bear fruit if Allah has favored others in provision (grades)?

The entire matter is in the hands of Allah, for no soul dies until it has received its full provision. Allah has favored some people over others in provision for a profound wisdom. Just as He made a disparity in provision, He also made it in intellect, knowledge, and other aspects. It is incumbent upon a person to work and strive, and Allah will not let his effort go to waste.
