If the deceased left no heirs except those mentioned, then the two daughters receive two-thirds as a prescribed share (fard), and the remainder goes to the sons of the full brother by way of residuary inheritance (ta'sib). Thus, the estate is divided into twelve shares: the two daughters receive eight shares (four for each), and each son of the full brother receives one share. We caution that matters of inheritance are serious and complex, and a mere is insufficient. Rather, they must be referred to the courts for investigation, as there might be wills, debts, or rights that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
