Was Joseph (peace be upon him) a prophet when the wife of Al-Aziz sought to seduce him?

The apparent meaning of the words of Ibn Kathir and Sayyid Qutb is that Yusuf's (peace be upon him) trial occurred before Allah honored him with prophethood. This is indicated by the description of him in the verses as a young man (fatan or ghulam), and that Allah granted him wisdom and knowledge after he reached his full strength. Ibn Ashour also stated that the incident took place before prophethood, and that Yusuf was granted prophethood after his family entered Egypt and his father passed away.
