What is the ruling concerning a husband who divorced his second wife in absentia one year after their marriage, and the wife refused to accept the deferred dower and the legitimate compensatory gift, and threatened him with the Hereafter?

The divorced woman, after consummation, is entitled to the full mahr (dowry), and to maintenance until the end of her iddah (waiting period) if she is in a revocable divorce, or pregnant, or breastfeeding. As for mut'ah (compensatory gift), the majority of scholars hold it to be recommended, while some scholars deem it obligatory for every divorced woman if the divorce was not due to a fault of hers. Its estimation depends on the husband's financial situation. There is no blame if the first wife is unaware of her husband's second marriage. The husband is sinful if he does not pay the obligatory rights to his wife despite his ability to do so.
