Is the wife entitled to the deferred dowry, the maintenance, the movables, and the furniture bought jointly before marriage, if she requests divorce from her husband who does not insult her, nor beat her, nor demand forbidden things, and spends on her?

It is not permissible for a woman to seek divorce from her husband without a legitimate reason, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade that. Effort should be made to reconcile and preserve the family, especially with the presence of children, because the separation of spouses can lead to their ruin. For this reason, some scholars have gone so far as to say that the default ruling for divorce is prohibition unless there is a reason that permits it. However, regardless of the permissibility of seeking divorce, if a divorce occurs without compensation, the divorced woman has rights, such as the deferred mahr and maintenance until the end of her waiting period (iddah). If the wife has no reason to seek divorce, then the husband has the right to refuse to divorce her until she ransoms herself from him.
