Is the Hadith: "We had two young men from Najran, the name of one was Yasar and the other Jabr. They used to read books they had in their own language, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pass by them and hear their recitation. The polytheists would say, 'He learns from them,' so Allah revealed: 'The tongue of him to whom they falsely attribute is foreign' [Quran 16:103] and the verse" authentic, and does its chain of narration revolve around Husayn ibn Abd al-Rahman?

Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned the hadith, "There is no servant who obeys Allah and His Messenger and obeys his master except that he will have two rewards," in "Al-Isabah" and authenticated its chain of narration. Another hadith was also reported in the biography of Ubaid ibn Muslim al-Asadi concerning two youths from Najran who used to read scriptures in their own language. The polytheists claimed that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was learning from them, so the verse was revealed: "The tongue of the one they incline to is foreign." Al-Hafiz also authenticated its chain of narration.

As for Husain ibn Abd al-Rahman, one of the narrators of the hadith, he is considered trustworthy by many muhadditheen, even if it was said that he suffered from اختلاط (confusion/memory loss) at the end of his life. This hadith has a corroborating narration from the hadith of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, which Al-Hakim narrated and authenticated, confirming the correctness of Al-Hafiz's authentication of the hadith.
