Who are the trustworthy narrators who did not mention the story in the Hadith?

Al-Albani said in "At-Tawassul: Its Types and Rulings" concerning the Hadith narrated in this story: Ibn As-Sunni transmitted it in "Amal Al-Yawm Wal-Laylah" and Al-Hakim from three chains of narration from Ahmad ibn Shabib, but without the story. Similarly, 'Awn ibn 'Ammara Al-Basri narrated it from Rawh ibn Al-Qasim, and his narration is more preferable than Shabib's narration due to its agreement with the narration of Shu'bah and Hammad ibn Salamah from Abu Ja'far Al-Khatmi.
