What is the authenticity of the Holy Hadith: "O son of Adam, if you are not ashamed of Me, I will make people forget your faults, and I will make the parts of the earth forget your sins, and I will erase your transgressions from the Mother of the Book, and I will not dispute with you the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection"? And what is the meaning of "also reported in the narrations" mentioned in the book "Madarij al-Salikin"?

The aforementioned narration has not been found with a continuous chain of transmission (sanad) traced back to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Every scholar who mentioned it attributed it to Abu Sulaiman al-Darani. Abu Sulaiman al-Darani was deemed weak by some scholars, while others considered him trustworthy. Their statement, "It was narrated in the tradition (athar)," is a formula indicating weakness, signifying either the weakness of the narrated tradition itself or the narrator's doubt about its authenticity.
