Is it permissible to place eyeglasses on top of the Mushaf?

Glorifying the Mushaf (copy of the Quran) is obligatory, as it is one of the شعائر الله (symbols/rituals of Allah). It is not permissible to place anything upon it that would demean it, and it is better not to place anything upon it at all.
