What is the criterion for glorifying Allah's شعائر (rites/symbols) that jurists use to justify not extending one's feet towards the Qiblah, or not placing anything on top of the Mushaf, or not turning a shoe skyward, based on His saying, the Most High: "That [is so]. And whoever glorifies the شعائر of Allah - then indeed, it is from the piety of the hearts"?

Glorifying the rituals of Allah is affirmed. There is no harm in directing one's feet or turning one's sandals towards the Qiblah. Placing belongings on or leaning against the Mushaf (copy of the Qur'an) contradicts its glorification, unless there is a necessity for it, such as placing a hand on it to steady or protect it. There is also no harm if the Mushaf is in a cabinet and books or belongings are placed on top of the cabinet or in a higher drawer. Extending one's legs towards the Mushaf is forbidden if it is level with one's feet; however, if it is elevated above them, there is no harm.
