The children must invite their mother to the true religion and advise her. They are not obliged to give her money if she is not in need. The wife has the right to request an independent home, and if this conflicts with the husband's honoring of his mother, then she should be patient, and the husband should appreciate her psychological state and seek a solution that combines honoring his mother with good companionship towards his wife.
