What should I do about the severe psychological and physical symptoms of pregnancy that I am experiencing, which have led to a deterioration in my relationship with my husband and children, and can abortion be considered a solution to this problem?
We advise the pregnant woman to supplicate frequently during distress. Among the reported supplications are: "O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not abandon me to myself for the blink of an eye, and correct all my affairs for me. There is no god but You," and "There is no god but Allah, the Almighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, and Lord of the Great Throne," and "Allah, Allah is my Lord, I associate nothing with Him," and the supplication of Dhul-Nun: "There is no god but You; exalted are You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers."
What the pregnant woman feels of pressure and depression is caused by hormonal imbalances. The husband should understand this stage and provide special care for his wife and be understanding with her.
We draw attention to three matters: it is not permissible to refuse the husband without a valid شرعي (Shar'i) excuse, striking a young child is unlawful, and abortion is forbidden at any stage of fetal development.
