Will a person who wishes to terminate her pregnancy due to difficult psychological circumstances and life problems be punished, even though she prayed for God not to burden her with what she cannot bear, and people say that she is objecting to God's will?

Scholars have differed on the ruling concerning abortion before the ensoulment of the fetus, and the preponderant opinion is that it is prohibited. It is not permissible to abort a fetus due to expenses, fear of financial burdens, or the fatigue of raising children, as this stems from a poor opinion of Allah and weak certainty. Allah has forbidden the killing of children out of fear of poverty. The sustenance of the newborn is decreed while it is in its mother's womb. One must resort to lawful means, not unlawful ones such as abortion.

Supplicating not to be burdened with what one cannot bear is permissible, but supplicating for an abortion is not. You must strive against your self to repel misgivings, and as long as you repel them and do not act upon them, there is no sin upon you.
