How does a farmer pay Zakat on dates, and what about Zakat on trade if he sells dates in partnership with laborers, sharing the profits equally among them?

Dates intended for sale are subject to zakat al-tijara (business zakat) according to the Hanafis and Hanbalis. Their value is assessed, and one-fortieth (2.5%) of their value is given if the business nisab (equivalent to 595 grams of silver) is reached. However, if their value is less than the nisab, zakat al-zuru' wa al-thimar (zakat on crops and fruits) is paid, by giving one-tenth or one-half of it. As for the Malikis and Shafi'is, they hold that dates are subject to zakat al-zuru'. If the dates are the product of a partnership, each partner pays zakat on his share if it reaches the nisab.
