Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) order that the leaders of disbelief be dragged and thrown into a well after the Battle of Badr, and why were they not buried or their bodies respected, even though Islam is a religion of tolerance and their evil had ceased after their death?

Servitude to Allah necessitates submission to His decrees and the belief that they do not deviate from justice and wisdom. Obedience to the Prophet, peace be upon him, requires submission to his commands. The Prophet's, peace be upon him, casting of the Quraysh polytheists into the well of Badr did not deviate from justice, nor was it an act of revenge against them. Rather, it was a covering and a purification of the atmosphere. Scholars have deduced from this act the permissibility of burying a disbeliever if there is no one from their own faith to bury them, and that leaving them unburied is a form of mutilation, which is prohibited in Islam.
